Technodrome1
Joshua Williams, nom de plume Technodrome1, was born and raised in New Jersey. When it came time for college, he moved to New York and never looked back. Now based in Brooklyn, Technodrome1 is at the vanguard of an artistic revolution. While in high school, Joshua envisioned himself playing basketball at the collegiate level, but when those initial plans fell through, he decided to go to art school. He enrolled at Pratt Institute, where he learned the essentials of being an artist. After two years he transferred to the School of Visual Arts in New York.
Technodrome1 is on his way to being a brand. Very soon, we will be talking about Technodrome1’s work much the same as we do of Picasso, Warhol and Basquiat. His style has been influenced by the aforementioned legends as well as by his love of Comic books, Teenage Ninja Turtles, and edgy hip-hop (think Odd Future and Lil B). Art is his full time job, and he is unafraid of pushing boundaries and breaking established taboos. He’s built an international following for his digitally created pieces using the power of social media. You can find his work in London and Paris, where rumor has it that he has a piece hanging next to a Warhol.
