Maeva Fouche is a New Jersey based artist. Born in Newark, New Jersey and raised in a Haitian American household, Maeva displayed a penchant for art at an early age. She however did not pursue her love until her early twenties, when during a tumultuous time in her life art became her refuge and sanctuary.
Maeva graduated from Kean University in Union, NJ with a B.F.A. in Interior Design. She worked as an interior designer for a while, until she decided to become a full time artist and dedicate her time to creating one of a kind artwork. Maeva’s art is influenced by urban life, music, and African and Caribbean cultures. Her brush strokes dance across her canvases all in an effort to connect with her viewers on an emotional and spiritual level. Each and every one of her beautiful creations are an extension of her mind, body and soul.
